I gave my house back to the bank with a deed in lieu of foreclosure. the bank transferred title in 2011 the first time I paid them money to get it back. The bank never applied my payment to the principle , then came after me again in 2013. I was never released from foreclosure (jail) my attorney recommended I give up the house. I had lived in it for a year while I was in a chapter 13 then abandoned the ch 13 and filed a chapter 7 after I gave up the house. I was discharged from he chapter 7 in April 2015.

I am a 75 year old retiree. I have 1600 a month net income from social security and a small pension. I just got a credit score, because I recently took out a secured credit card. No FICO shows yet on experian, but creditkarma shows transunion 664 and equifax 670. I have no other credit cards or financing of any kind. The only alternative credit line I have would be my electric bill. All other bills are in my daughters name. I don't even have things like a gym membership or netflix account, so the only alternative credit line period is my electric bill. I have no debts on my credit history.

Does it sound like I can qualify, for either a FHA or USDA loan?

I have an listing for a 2,050 square foot ranch style home. It is an amazing and very nice home with big rooms, and wrap around porch. To my surprise the homeowner has informed me that there is a single wide mobile that can be detected during a inspection. She said if you go into the attic or crawlspace under the home you can see the older mobile. It has only shown twice due to the question of a FHA finance. Can this home qualify for FHA finance? I'm estimating that maybe a 1/3 of the home has mobile under, but the roof line has totally been rafter ed over. You can not tell, it has a wrap around concrete beam around entire home. Please advise.

My mom recently put her house in my name since I am now paying for it and I was looking to refinance since her credit was poor when she initially purchased the house. I don't have a lot of money to put down but I know my credit is better than hers was originally. Which bank or credit union would be best to look at for low rates?

I am a retired veteran and found a single family home that I'd like to buy using my eligibility. The listing agent told me that the property for sale sits on 12 acres of land. I have been informed that the VA guidelines would allow me to do this with VA financing. Does anyone know for sure if this is allowed?

I have heard people say that borrowing against their 401k is a something worth considering. The equity on my home has gone down a little bit recently and we're underwater on the loan now. Refinancing doesn't seem to be an option for us right now.
