For the past five years I have been receiving Social Security payments. Six months ago I was laid off from my job. I spoke to one of your representatives and they said I could use my Social Security payments as income. My roommate receives SSI payments separately. She was wondering if she could use her income together with mine to raise the borrowing capability for a better home.

-instead of a mod they redid my loan again for 30 yrs and added PMI again. No new appraisal was done and I was well below my LTV-should I have been charged PMI again? I am told I have to pay this again for another 5 yrs. I think I was ripped off.

When I inquired about this all they did was resend me my paperwork and said I had to pay another five years of PMI. I don't think this is right. How can I go about getting this resolved?

My fiancé and I split. We own a home together, FHA loan. Tried to transfer the mortgage and he qualifies for everything, except credit score (he makes $200k/yr no problem paying the mortgage in fact I've never paid a dime on the mortgage). He is being malicious and down right evil threatening that I have to sign a quick claim or else this or that. I don't want to do that because I'm still on the mortgage which still effects my credit! If his credit wasnt so bad he would refinance, but he can't. Does anybody know if you can have a cosigner with this qualified assumption of a mortgage so then maybe he could get it transferred w/o having to refinance?! i don't care about anything, except getting off of this mortgage ASAP!!!! Please help.

I owner occupy a Duplex that I purchased using my VA Loan. I'd like to now use an FHA Loan to buy a Triplex. Based on what I am charging my tenant I am extremely confident that I will be able to get that same amount as rent from another tenant when I move out of that unit. Problem is a "well meaning friend" has told me that I can't count the potential rental income of that unit unless I purchase a triplex that's at least 100 miles away!

I can see if i already had an FHA Loan and I was trying to get another FHA loan on top of that where this restriction would come in, but I don't have an FHA Loan?

Can anyone verify this, perhaps with a link?

My partner and I (not married) purchased a home earlier this year in California with an FHA loan (under my name). We would like to have joint ownership of the home on paper, but for credit reasons we chose to secure the loan under my name. We were told that we could simply fill out a quitclaim deed after the loan closed, but I am getting conflicting information about whether or not this is possible with an FHA loan. How should I go about adding him to the title? Thanks!

We have a friend who is in the process of purchasing her first home and is applying for an FHA loan. She has been told conflicting things about obtaining a grant from the Down Payment Plus program. Can you help shed some light on this?

Thanks.
