Selling home FHA. Appraiser is requiring septic from well distance to be 75 ft or more. I currently have an fha loan, distance is 50 ft. Why am I being penalized? I could understand if this was new const. but I have lived here 20 yrs.

We are the 2nd owners of a manufactured home. We have the invoice from the mfctr and the statement of origin. The invoice shows it was purchased from Medallion by a dealer then sold to the 1st owners. So, the statement of origin is the dealer's address not the property address. This is disqualifying our buyer from a loan from FHA. could you help us with knowing the requirements that pertain to this issue?

I am planning to buy a condo my friend is selling with cash. The property is around $100k, I compare to other properties within the same area and the price is about right. Who do I ask to appraise the listed property? I know if I get a loan, the bank will send someone out, but now that I am paying cash, I am wondering who I should get. How much does it usually cost to get someone to come out and appraise my property. Thanks!

We had both the appraiser and an inspector come out before purchasing our home. We worked out to have repairs made by the seller and everything passed their standards. Now that we are in the house the cracks that we were told by all three (the seller, the appraiser and the inspector) are leftover from a previous foundation repair and are actually issues with the foundation (we have had three companies come out to verify and all say that there are no signs of previous repair). We are trying to figure out how to approach this.
